We created hotel artwork for the rooms and suites of the Mandarin Oriental Taipei. This is a luxurious 5-star hotel in the business district and heart of Taipei, Taiwan. The interior design is both luxurious and elegant.
We co-operated with Osage Art Consultancy on this project. As part of the design brief, our art would resonate with the interior design. The art consultant had a specific art direction. The hotel artwork would be an opportunity to add nature and colour into the environment. We understood the aesthetics and tailored our artwork guestrooms.
For the rooms, floral fine art prints are next to the bed and above the sofa. Alvin takes close up photographs the peony and chrysanthemum flowers. He combines his photography with abstract textures. The subject matter and colours are fine-tuned especially for this project. These prints are an elegant highlight which ties together the luxurious interior.
In the suites, Dana’s abstract art print leans on a shelf. She photographs trees with a focus on silhouettes. To add to the starkness she uses a monotone background. Her artwork is minimal and bright, adding a fresh colour accent to the guestroom.
